Arizona Vs. Florida State, 2012 CWS Score Update: Wildcats Lead Seminoles, 3-1, After 5 Innings

The Arizona Wildcats currently lead the No. 3 national seed Florida St. Seminoles, 3-1, after five innings in Game 2 of the 2012 College World Series. Arizona right fielder Robert Refsnyder has had best offensive performance so far, driving in two runs on two singles.

After two scoreless frames to start the nightcap, the Wildcats struck for two runs in the top of the third inning. Joey Rickard had the first RBI single, which was followed by Refsnyder's first run-scoring play. By the fifth inning, Florida State starting pitcher Brandon Leibrandt allowed two men on base and came out after 4.1 innings for Gage Smith. Refsnyder promptly singled to right field for the 3-1 lead.

Florida State got on board in the bottom of the third inning with a home run to right field. Arizona starting pitcher Kurt Heyer has struck out four and allowed five hits in five innings so far.
