2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament Results: Florida's Jonathon Crawford Throws No-Hitter In 4-0 Victory

Florida Gators pitcher Jonathon Crawford is off to a great start in the 2012 NCAA Baseball Tournament, throwing a no-hitter against the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats. The Gators defeated the Wildcats, 4-0.

Crawford struck out five batters and walked the lone batter, Jake Welch, in the third inning.

Second baseman Casey Turgeon drove in all four runs for the Gators. He drove in Daniel Pigott in the third inning after the latter singled, stole second and advanced to third on a wild pitch. In the fifth inning, Turgeon unleashed a three-run home run off Bryan Rivera, who just entered the game in relief of Rayan Gonzalez.

Preston Tucker, a Colorado Rockies draftee from 2011, had two hits.

The Gators are now in the winner's bracket of the Gainesville regional and will play Georgia Tech in the second game on Saturday night. Georgia Tech defeated the College of Charleston, 8-4, on Friday.
