After four stages in the 2012 Giro d'Italia, there is a new Maglia Rosa (pink jersey) wearer: Garmin-Barracuda's Ramunas Navardauskas. As a result of winning the team time trial on Wednesday, Navardauskas and the rest of Garmin-Barracuda dominate the top 10. Tyler Farrar, Robert Hunter and Ryder Hesjedal take the next three spots with 10 or 11 seconds delay.
The previous Maglia Rosa, Boulder's Taylor Phinney of BMC Racing, moved down to No. 5 in the standings and a 13-second delay. Sebastien Rosseler and Christian Vande Velde take positions 8 and 9 with a 25- and 26-second delay, respectively.
Fellow Garmin rider Alex Rasmussen had been in third place entering the day, but he fell behind and is now 3:57 behind Navardauskas. To round out the team, Peter Stetina is 31 seconds delayed and Jack Bauer is 45 seconds behind.
