The Colorado Marathon gets underway on Sunday with a 6:15 a.m. MDT start, but afternoon showers could put a damper on the marathon's festivities.
Weather Forecast
According to Weather.com, the race should have sunny -- albeit chilly -- start as the day begins with 44 degrees and clear skies, but by 2:00 p.m. MDT, as the temperature reaches the 60s, Weather.com foresees the skies turning gray and offering some scattered showers. The last of the runners must finish no later than 12:15 p.m. MDT, so the runners should be able to finish rain free if the forecast holds.
Road Closures
According to the Fort Collins special events calender, the marathon will cause road closures on Linden from Jefferson to Walnut as well as a complete shutdown of the intersection of Linden and Walnut.
