Brock Berglund Transfer: Berglund Will Take Time In Deciding New School

Ex-Kansas Jayhawks quarterback Brock Berglund is in high demand across the country as various schools look to shore up their depth at the position. But Berglund— a northern Colorado native who decided to leave Kansas after the hiring of new head coach Charlie Weis— told the AP this week that he will take his time in deciding on his future school.

Berglund told the AP that he's chatted with the coaching staffs of the Miami Hurricanes, UCLA Bruins, UNLV Rebels and Utah Utes. He's also set to take an official visit with the Mississippi Rebels, a school that itself is starting over with a new head coach who is likely considering his quarterback position something close to a clean slate.

Berglund committed to play for the Colorado Buffaloes out of high school, but backed out of that commitment when the school fired Dan Hawkins. Berglund told the AP that Hawkins' replacement, current head coach Jon Embree, has yet to reach out to him. In 2012, Embree signed Shane Dillon, an impending freshman quarterback from California that Rivals rated as the No. 13 QB in the 2012 class. Embree also currently has a commitment from Rivals four-star QB Sefo Liufau for the 2013 class.
