NCAA Baseball Scores: Air Force Takes Two Of Three, Northern Colorado Splits Weekend Series

The Air Force baseball team took two of three against UNLV, while Northern Colorado and South Dakota State split a four game series.

The Air Force Falcons enjoyed a successful weekend, as Air Force took two of three against UNLV, improving to 6-15 on the season, and 2-1 in conference as the Falcons begin Mountain West Conference play.

Cameron White notched the win in Friday's 10-7 win over the Running Rebels. White pitched seven innings, giving up four runs while scattering 11 hits. He struck out five and walked none. Seth Kline went three for five in the win, belting a triple and driving in four runs.

Air Force's perfect MWC record would fall on Saturday, though, as UNLV smoked Air Force, 15-4. Brand Bayardi, Tyler Blair and Danny Higa drove in three runs each for the Rebels.

The Falcons would win the series on Sunday, with a 12-5 win. Air Force scored five times in the seventh and four times in the eighth to secure the win. Evan Abrecht pitched eight innings and improved to 2-0.

Northern Colorado split their series over the weekend with South Dakota State, as the two teams alternated wins and losses over the four game set.

South Dakota State took the first game of the series, winning 10-5 on Friday. The two teams split a doubleheader on Saturday, with the Bears winning their game in dramatic fashion. Northern Colorado won the first game of the doubleheader as Tony Crudo laced a walk-off single, scoring Ryan Yamane in the 8-7 win.

Unfortunately, the Bears would drop the second game 7-3.

The Bears were able to win a slugfest on Sunday to salvage the split, winning 15-13. and surviving a late inning scare. South Dakota State scored seven times in the final two frames, but Northern Colorado held on for the win.

Northern Colorado improved to 8-11 after Sunday's win.
