Ryan O'Byrne Injury: Avalanche Defenseman Expected To Miss 2-3 Weeks

Colorado Avalanche defenseman Ryan O'Byrne injured a knee against the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday night and probably will miss two or three weeks of action.

O'Byrne, who had one goal, five assists and an even plus-minus rating in 61 games for Colorado, suffered the injury on his final shift in Wednesday's game with the Los Angeles Kings, the team said. He was placed on the injured reserve list.

But the Avs are likely to have seven defensemen available to play against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Friday night, according to the Post.
