Chris Fox Recruiting: Colorado Native Commits To Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines added one of the nation's top college football recruits for the 2013 class this weekend upon receiving a verbal commitment from offensive tackle Chris Fox, a native of Parker, Colo. Fox is the only player from Colorado that was included in Rivals.com's Top 250 prospects for the 2013 class.

Listed at 6-foot-6 and 297 pounds, Fox is an imposing athlete given his size and athleticism. Rivals rates him as a four-star recruit and one of the best prospects in the nation at his position. While he had offers from numerous schools, he told Scout.com's Sam Webb that he's always been attracted to Michigan:

Honestly, it’s been Michigan pretty much the whole way. I’m excited. Coach Funk was definitely excited. I just called my grandma (who lives in Michigan) and she’s super excited about it too.

Among the other teams that made scholarship offers to Fox were Colorado, Michigan State, Purdue, Ohio State, Florida State, Iowa, Missouri and Washington.
