Super Bowl 2012 is less than a week away from kicking off in Indianapolis for the 46th edition of the big game, but not much has changed on the line and odds. The New England Patriots are still favored by either 2.5 points or 3 points, according the various lines Odds Shark has provided. When these two teams met in Super Bowl XLII, the Giants won by just a field goal, 17-14. While that game is largely remembered for ending the Patriots' undefeated season as well as for David Tyree's catch, Lawrence Tynes' field goal in the first quarter was quite crucial.
The over/under for this game is set at 55 points, and it certainly could be a shootout between Tom Brady and Eli Manning. Both teams have the offensive weapons the quarterbacks need to succeed, but we shouldn't be writing a high-scoring game into stone yet.
