After winning the Missouri Valley Conference, North Dakota State entered the FCS playoffs as the No. 1 overall seed. Having earned a first-round bye, the Bison easily dispatched South Dakota State for the second time this season in the second round, winning 28-3 behind three touchdowns by quarterback Brock Jensen. Next up is Wofford, who advanced by beating New Hampshire 23-7 on Saturday.
The Bison's lone loss this season was in Week 7, when Indiana State escaped Fargo with a 17-14 win. But with an 11-1 record and the MVC championship under its belt, North Dakota State looks to repeat as FCS champions.
Wofford, a member of the Southern Conference, went 9-3 on the season and 6-2 in conference play. The Terriers have never advanced past the semifinal game of a Division I-AA or FCS playoff despite having won the Southern Conference three times since 2003.
North Dakota State will be the home team, hosting the game at the Fargodome in Fargo, N.D. The game is Saturday, Dec. 8 and will be shown on ESPN3.com at 3 p.m. ET.
