2012 College Hockey schedule: Air Force, Denver, Colorado College

Air Force, Denver and Colorado College are all in action with back-to-back games this weekend.

The three local college hockey teams are in action this week with Air Force, Colorado College and Denver as they each play games on Friday and Saturday.

Air Force heads on the road in non-conference action to take on Penn State at 5:30 p.m. MT on both Friday and Saturday. The Nittany Lions are 5-2 on the year and have won four straight games, which include wins at RIT, Army and Sacred Heart. David Glen leads the team with five goals and nine points in seven games. The goalies for Penn State are P.J. Musico and Matthew Skoff, and both split time in the net.

The No. 3 ranked Denver Pioneers go on the road for the first time all year, and they will be facing off against Minnesota State. They play Friday at 6:37 p.m. MT and Saturday at 6:07 p.m., and both games can be heard on 102.3 ESPN. Minnesota State is 3-3-2, and just last weekend split a series against No. 2 ranked Minnesota.

Minnesota State is led by defenseman Joey LaLeggia and goaltender Sam Brittain, both were named to preseason all-WCHA team.

No. 19 ranked Colorado College is playing at home this weekend at Bemidji State University, both games are played on Friday at 7:37 p.m. and then again on Saturday at 7:07 p.m. Bemidji State has played just four games and is 2-1-1 on the year.

They are lead by junior forward Radoslov Illo, he was a fifth-round draft pick of the Anaheim Ducks in 2009, and is tie for the team lead with two goals along with David Boehm. Goalie Andrew Walsh is a player to watch as he is giving up 1.48 goals in three games this year.
