SB Nation's preseason college basketball top 25 includes two schools from the Pac-12 Conference and a pair from the Mountain West Conference.

The Arizona Wildcats debut at No. 17, despite losing seven players from a team that did not qualify for the NCAA Tournament a year ago. Still, Arizona returns Solomon Hill, who was its best player last season, and brings in a very highly-touted recruiting class. The No. 19 UCLA Bruins are the other Pac-12 school representing the league in the rankings. Shabazz Muhammad, who was widely considered as the top recruit from the class of 2012, has not yet been deemed eligible, otherwise the Bruins likely would have been placed higher in the poll.

The UNLV Runnin' Rebels lost several big contributors from last year's team that was knocked out in the first round of the NCAA Tournament by the Colorado Buffaloes. However, the amount of talent coming back combined with a solid crop of newcomers has the Rebels ranked No. 12. The San Diego State Aztecs are the other MWC team included in the rankings, with Steve Fisher's squad coming in at No. 24. They return one of the nation's best backcourts in Jamaal Franklin and Chase Tapley.

The Indiana Hoosiers earned the top spot in the rankings, with the Louisville Cardinals, Kentucky Wildcats, Ohio State Buckeyes and Florida Gators rounding out the top five.
