the Denver Nuggets have gotten off to a rough start so far on the 2012-13 NBA season. Saturday's three point loss at Miami dropped the Nuggets to 0-3 on the year, but Denver will finally get to return home at least briefly as the week starts.
Denver will open its home schedule on Tuesday against the Detroit Pistons, who are also 0-2 on the season. Denver will have to improve its defense, which is ranked 25th out of 30 teams so far and is giving up more than 101 points per game. Fortunately, the Pistons are one of the lower scoring teams in the league at 92.5 points per game.
The homestand is only a single game as Denver turns right around and heads back out on the road the next night. Wednesday the Nuggets will visit the Houston Rockets, who are off to a bit of a surprising 2-1 start after being projected as a non-factor in the Western Conference.
