BCS rankings 2012, Week 11: Louisiana Tech has best chance to bust BCS

The Week 11 BCS Standings are now out.

There were a few scares on Saturday, but the top four teams in the BCS survived as undefeated, meaning that there is little change among those that will play for the National Championship game. Alabama' 21-17 win at LSU on a last minute touchdown kept the Crimson Tide at the top of this week's standings.

Kansas State stayed at No. 2 after an impressive home win over Oklahoma State. The Wildcats are likely to be favorites in their remaining three games and have the easiest schedule of the top four teams with only one game left against a ranked team in No. 17 Texas. That will be at home, too.

Oregon's impressive 61 point outburst at USC moved the Ducks up to No. 3, as they passed Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish survived in triple overtime at home against Pittsburgh, a game in which they were double-digit favorites. Georgia sits at No. 5 with one loss, which is notable because they are one of four SEC teams with at least one defeat ahead of Louisville, who is undefeated at No. 9.

Louisiana Tech is the highest rated non-AQ team at No. 20. The Bulldogs have one loss, 59-57 to No. 15 Texas A&M. They would need to rise to No. 12 to qualify automatically or raise to no. 16 and finishing ahead of a champion in one of the six automatic qualifying conferences. That is in range, as Nebraska is the highest Big Ten team at No. 16.
