Colorado college hockey teams had a mixed weekend on the ice as they faced a number of quality opponents. One of the roughest weekends was had by Colorado College, who only got out of the weekend with a single point after a loss and a tie. Colorado College tied New Hampshire, 4-4, on Friday and fell to Yale, 6-5, in overtime on Saturday.
Air Force also had a rough weekend. Friday night at Connecticut the Falcons fell 2-1. On Saturday Air Force was able to get the game to overtime before falling 3-2 again to the Huskies.
On Friday Yale, who later would beat Colorado College, pulled off a 2-1 road win over Denver. That game also went to overtime. The Pioneers' hard luck continued over to Saturday where New Hampshire defeated them, 6-4. The back-to-back losses knocked Denver down to 9-3 on the season. They should fall out of the No. 2 spot in the polls.
