Air Force vs. The Citadel final score: Falcons top Bulldogs, 77-70

The Air Force men's basketball team improved to 2-0 with a win over The Citadel.

Air Force picked up its second win of the season Sunday, defeating The Citadel, 77-70, on the second day of the All-Military Classic at McAlister Field House in Charleston, S.C.

Air Force (2-0) was led by the three-pronged attack of Michael Lyons, Kyle Green and Max Yon. Lyons led all scorers, pouring in 33 points on 11 of 16 shooting. He was 7 of 12 from behind the 3-point line and pulled down three rebounds. Green scored 18 points and hit 4 of 9 3-point attempts, and Yon added 10 points.

Lawrence Miller scored 20 points to lead The Citadel (1-1). He connected on 6 of 9 3-point attempts and added three rebounds and two assists. Mike Groselle scored 17 points, and C.J. Bray tallied 14.

The Falcons and Bulldogs put on a shooting display. Air Force shot 49 percent from the field, and The Citadel hit 57 percent of its shots. The teams combined to make 23 of 54 3s.

Next up for Air Force is a home game Thursday against Western State. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. MT.
