After beginning the season with two losses and three ties the Air Force Falcons were finally able to taste victory on Saturday with a 4-1 victory over Robert Morris on Sunday. The victory makes Air Force 1-2-3 on the season and 1-0-1 in in the Atlantic Hockey association.
Scott Holm gave Air Force and early lead when he deflected a shot by Adam McKenzie into the net after a nice pass from Chad Demers. The Falcons outshot Robert Morris 15-3 in the first period, but Holm was the only player able to score a goal.
Alex Halloran added a second goal int he second period before Robert Morris cut the lead in half early in the third period. David Friedmann scored on a rebound to cut the Falcon lead to 2-1. The Colonels then pulled their goalie with 1:31 left, but it led to a pair of empty net goals from Jason Fabian.
