Kirby Lee-US PRESSWIRE

The Division II football rankings have remained the same for the second straight week, at least from No. 6 up. CSU-Pueblo remains the top dog in the nation, garnering 24 first place votes in the weekly coaches poll.

The Thunderwolves have gotten off to a roaring 8-0 start in the DII season, including a 6-0 record in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. They have been led by this week's RMAC player of the week, quarterback Ross Dausin. This is the first time in the school's history that they have been rated the top school in the nation for multiple straight weeks in any sport. They also remain the only school in RMAC history to manage a No. 1 ranking in the nation.

Winston-Salem St., New Haven, Bloomsburg and Northwest Missouri St. rounded out the Top 5 of the rankings.

CSU-Pueblo will take on Colorado Mesa University in their next conference game on Oct. 27.
