The Colorado Buffaloes were already dealing with several injuries before Thursday night's 51-17 loss to Arizona State, but CU had to add another player to the infirmary list. Linebacker Brady Daigh was taken off the field on a backboard with a neck injury.
Daigh was removed with 4:40 remaining in the game. He was conscious and moving as he left the stadium and was taken to an area hospital for precautionary tests. The Buffaloes were already missing several starters in the game, including running back Christian Powell (thigh), free safety Ray Polk (ankle), linebacker Paul Vigo (foot) and cornerback Yuri Wright (concussion).
Colorado State is dealing with injury problems of their own. Going into their game against San Diego State, the Rams were without starting quarterback Garrett Grayson, who is dealing with a hurt shoulder. Backup M.J. McPeek was knocked out of the game in the second quarter with an undisclosed injury. Third-stringer Connor Smith finished the 38-14 loss.
Air Force running back Cody Getz left the Falcons' 28-27 win over Wyoming in the third quarter with a lower leg injury. Fullback Mike DeWitt was held out against the Cowboys with an undisclosed injury.
Boise State tight end Hayden Plinke returned from an undisclosed injury to play in the Broncos' 20-10 win over Fresno State.
