Arkansas State Vs. Denver Score: Pioneers Trail 24-22 At Halftime

The Denver Pioneers began a three-game road trip with Arkansas State on Thursday night, and while they've struggled to shoot the basketball at times, they trail by just two points at the half, 24-22. Unofficially, Chase Hallam and Chris Udofia lead the Pioners with five points apiece.

Arkansas State held the upper hand for most of the first half, leading by as many as seven points on a couple different occasions. Denver is shooting just 39.1% from the floor, and they've struggled uncharacteristically to hit shots inside the arc.

Arkansas State actually shot the ball worse (34.8%), but they were better on the glass and got more production from the free throw line than did the Pioneers. Marcus Hooten leads ASU with seven points.
