Winter X Games 2012: Shaun White Plans To Compete On Friday Despite Injured Ankle

Snowboarder Shaun White was injured while practicing on the superpipe on Thursday, but according to his manager, White does not plan on missing Friday's slopestyle competition:

His manager Crystal Garrett said later in the afternoon that White was not injured and he still plans to compete in slopestyle and superpipe.

"He will be up bright and early for training tomorrow," Garrett said.

White has won the last four superpipe competitions at the Winter X Games.

Some video of White and others examining the injury can be seen below. He appears to have hurt his left ankle, though the extent of the injury is unknown. If he does compete Friday, he's likely to be sore, so that will be an aspect of his performance to keep an eye on.
