Air Force saw its losing streak reach three games on Wednesday, as the Falcons lost to the TCU Horned Frogs 59-56. Air Force missed a game-tying three-pointer at the buzzer after hanging tight for most of the second half. Neither team scored in the final three minutes of the game, and the Horned Frogs went the whole way without attempting a free throw.
TCU was led by guard Hank Thorns, who led all scorers with 22 points on 9-of-12 shooting. Teammate J.R. Cadot was also a force for the Horned Frogs, hitting all seven of his free throw attempts to finish with 13 points and seven rebounds.
Air Force was powered by center Taylor Broekhuis, who scored 15 points on 4-of-6 shooting. Mike Fitzgerald (14 points) and Todd Fletcher (12 points) also played well in the loss.
