The Kentucky Wildcats are the No. 1 team in new Coaches Poll after the Syracuse Orange lost its first game of the season on Saturday.

The Syracuse Orange was able to run its record to 20-0 before taking its first defeat of the season, a 67-58 loss to the Notre Dam Fighting Irish. As a result, the Orange have dropped from the No. 1 spot down to No. 4 in the latest Coaches Poll while the Kentucky Wildcats are the new No. 1 team in the nation. The Missouri Tigers and the Ohio St. Buckeyes took the next two spots, each making a three-spot jump.

Murray State, 20-0 and the only undefeated team left, move just one spot to No. 9 this week. Among Mountain West teams, the San Diego St. Aztecs moved from No. 16 to No. 12 and the UNLV Rebels leaped to No. 15, a five spot move.

There are no Pac-12 teams once again, which means the Colorado Buffaloes are not in this poll. Neither are Air Force or Colorado State, but there's no reason they'd be sniffing the rankings most of the time.
