The Syracuse Orange are No. 1 in the AP Top 25 Poll once again after reaching 19-0 on the season. That ties the team's best start, which came during the 1999-2000 season. The Kentucky Wildcats remained No. 2 while the Baylor Bears moved up to No. 3 and received one first-place vote. The Murray State Racers are the only other undefeated team and check in at No. 12.
In the Mountain West, the UNLV Rebels check in at No. 14 and the San Diego St. Aztecs are in at No. 16. New Mexico is on the outside with 61 votes.
