Predators Vs. Avalanche Final Score: Colorado Loses 4-1 At Home

The Colorado Avalanche were defeated 4-1 by the Nashville Predators on Tuesday night in another tough offensive performance from the team. Colorado has now scored just one goal over the past two games, as it was shutout by the St. Louis Blues in its previous game on Jan. 7.

Some signs of life popped up for Colorado in the second period on Tuesday night, as the Avalanche dominated the shots on goal numbers and finally capitalized with a goal in the final minute. That didn't carry over into the third period, though, as the Predators extended their lead rather than watch it dwindle.

Colorado got nine shots on goal during the third period, but it was Nashville getting on the board with one of its six shots. Patric Hornqvist scored the goal for the Predators in the latter part of the period, his 12th of the season. The Avalanche are now 23-20-1 on the season, while the Predators bump up to 23-15-4 this season.
