On ESPN, Schefter said that we should expect "wholesale changes" to the organization following this move (via Evan Silva). Jackson went 8-8 in his only season as the Raiders' head coach. Jackson did send two first-round draft picks to Cincinnati for Carson Palmer, and the end result was a .500 team.
The ghost of Al Davis lives on with this move. I mean, this is something we could have expected from Davis had he not passed away in October. But before we get ahead of ourselves, let's see what McKenzie does. There could be a culture change happening
According to Henry Wofford of Comcast Sportsnet:
Hue Jackson said he's lost for words. He said "He's going to gut this place".
Well, maybe he'll rethink that. Doesn't sound like a good move.
