The Colorado Buffaloes went into the "Horseshoe" on Saturday afternoon and left embarrassed in a 37-17 loss to the Ohio St. Buckeyes. Ohio State Braxton Miller proved to much to contain while running back Jordan Hall also proved effective on the ground and in the return game (90-yard kick return to set up a touchdown). The Buffs didn't go to Rodney Stewart all that much, which may have been a result of a shoulder injury.
With the loss, the Buffs drop to 1-3. They return to Folsom Field next week to host the Washington St. Cougars.
Here's the rest of Saturday's Pac-12 schedule:
UCLA Bruins (2-2) def. Oregon St. Beavers (0-3), 27-19: UCLA starting quarterback Richard Brehaut threw for a touchdown and rushed for one in the victory. The Bruins ground game totaled 211 yards and three touchdowns.
Washington Huskies (3-1) def. California Golden Bears (3-1), 31-23: The Huskies, coming off a loss to Nebraska, held just a 21-20 lead at halftime. The Bears had scored 10 points in the final five minutes of the second quarter to narrow the gap to one. But a field goal and a Keith Price's third touchdown pass of the game (a 60-yard throw to Chris Polk) brought victory for the Huskies
Arizona St. Sun Devils (3-1) def. No. 23 USC Trojans (3-1), 43-22: The Sun Devils scored the last 22 points to pull away from USC. The Sun Devils were led by their defense that forced four turnovers and returned one interception for a touchdown, as well as running back Cameron Marshall who ran for 141 yards and three touchdowns.
No. 10 Oregon Ducks (3-1) def. Arizona Wildcats (1-3), 56-31: The Ducks ran out to a fast 35-9 halftime lead as the game was never really in doubt. The running game for Oregon led the way with six rushing touchdowns and 415 yards. LaMichael James led all backs with 288 yards and two touchdowns.
