The Mountain West football schedule for this weekend kicked off on Friday night with the No. 4 Boise St. Broncos sending the Toledo Rockets to a 40-15 loss. Quarterback Kellen Moore moved ahead of Peyton Manning on the all-time FCS wins list with 40. Moore should have no problems breaking Colt McCoy's record of 45 by the end of October.
Wyoming Cowboys (2-0) vs. Bowling Green Falcons (2-0), 10:00 a.m., ESPN GamePlan/ESPN3 - Wyoming is back to playing FBS this week after winning their first two games against FCS schools. Bowling Green has allowed an average of 14 points, but Idaho and Morgan State are not powerhouses.
Colorado St. Rams (2-0) vs. Colorado Buffaloes (0-2), 11:30 a.m. MT, at Sports Authority Field at Mile High - The Rocky Mountain Showdown has favored the Buffs throughout its history, but when this game has been played at Mile High it has been a much closer affair. The Buffs have won six of 10 games there, including the last three. Have the Buffs finally found a team they can beat?
Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks (1-1) vs. No. 23 TCU Horned Frogs (1-1), 12:00 p.m. MT, Versus - TCU bounced back with a huge win over the Air Force Falcons (who are off this week). The Warhawks shouldn't present much of a problem for Casey Pachall.
Texas Tech Red Raiders (1-0) vs. New Mexico Lobos (0-2), 1:30 p.m. MT - The Lobos just don't catch a break.
Washington St. Cougars (2-0) vs. San Diego St. Aztecs (2-0), 4:30 p.m. MT, Versus - Marshall Lobbestael tore apart UNLV for 361 passing yards and five touchdowns, but he will face a tougher test this week with the Aztecs. Can Aztecs running back Ronnie Hillman and quarterback Ryan Lindley keep the team undefeated?
Hawaii Warriors (1-1) vs. UNLV Rebels (0-2), 8:00 p.m. MT, Versus - The Warriors were unable to defeat the Washington Huskies last week, but the Rebels shouldn't prevent much opposition in this game.
