Boise State Vs. Toledo: Broncos Enter Halftime With 20-9 Lead Over Rockets

The Toledo Rockets were playing the No. 4 Boise St. Broncos close on Friday night, but they let things get away in the final minute of the second quarter. They are down by two touchdowns, 20-9, at halftime.

The Rockets opened up the scoring with a touchdown early in the first quarter, but the extra point attempt was muffed and resulted in no points. Kellen Moore and the Broncos wasted no time to score, answering right back on a 26-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Shoemaker.

Boise State running back Doug Martin has had his biggest contributions catching the ball. Late in the first quarter, Martin caught a Moore pass and took it to the house for a 71-yard touchdown. He has three receptions for 96 yards and just 23 yards on 10 carries.

With less than 90 seconds left in the half, Moore led the team down the field for another score. The key play on the drive was a 25-yard pass to his brother, Kirby Moore, for a 24-yard catch at the sideline. Moore found Tyler Shoemaker for another touchdown, putting a nice touch on a fade pass for the one-yard touchdown.

Toledo used the final 17 seconds of the half to get down the field and tack on the field goal.
