Might the unranked Toledo Rockets end the No. 4 Boise St. Broncos' dreams of a shot at the BCS championship game on Friday night? It's way too early to make that statement, but Toledo is down by just one, 7-6.
Rockets quarterback Austin Dantin is just 2-of-5 passing, but one of those completions was a 24-yard pass to Danny Noble for a touchdown. Dantin dumped a pass to Noble who then weaved his way into the end zone. Danton kept the drive alive earlier when he completed a screen pass to Adonis Thomas for 20 yards on a 3rd-and-15 down. The Rockets needed just two minutes to go 64 yards for the score.
Kellen Moore and the Broncos offense had a slow start to the game, having two drops and one fumble in their first two possessions. However, the second drive picked up when Doug Martin ran six yards on 4th-and-1. Two plays later, Kellen Moore found Tyler Shoemaker in the end zone for a 26-yard touchdown.
