The Colorado Rockies newest trade acquisition right handed pitcher Alex White will make his first appearance as a member of the Rockies' organization tonight with a rehab start for the AA Tulsa Drillers.
↵It's more a symbolic event than a real professional start (he'll be limited to 25 pitches or one inning), but it will also be the first time any player acquired in the Ubaldo Jimenez trade plays within the Colorado system. White was pitching for the Cleveland Indians -- making two quality starts before going down with a torn pulley tendon in his finger. Rockies' pitcher Jorge de la Rosa missed a substantial portion of the 2010 season with same exact injury.
↵If all goes as planned, we should see White in a Rockies uniform by the third week of August. Fellow pitcher Drew Pomeranz could make his debut soon thereafter, as he officially becomes a member of the Colorado Rockies organization on August 16.
↵It's officially the dawn of a new era in Denver.
