2011 USA Pro Cycling Challenge: Levi Leipheimer In Control On Final Day Of Race

Elia Viviani won his second stage in a row by capturing victory on the Stage 5 Steamboat Springs-Breckenridge run on Saturday. However, Levi Leipheimer finished in the group of cyclists who received the same finishing time (4:04:31) as Viviani. As a result, Leipheimer maintains the overall lead in the general classification as we enter the final day of the race on Sunday.

Leipheimer holds an 11 second lead over Christian VandeVelde entering Sunday's ride from Golden to Denver. Riders will contend with Lookout Mountain early in the race, roughly 11 miles into the competition. It comes on the underside of the figure-eight shape that the race takes before the race turns into Denver. Once in Denver the racers will circle Speer Blvd. for six laps before heading to the finish line near the State Capitol Building.
