On Tuesday morning, LenDale White was not out on the practice field in Dove Valley. The Denver Broncos had released the Denver native to start the day, according to Mike Klis of the Denver Post. White never played a down in a regular season game for the Broncos after joining the team in 2010. He tore an Achilles tendon during the final preseason game that year.
White got back in shape and was ready to compete for a spot on the running back depth chart, but he was unable to crack the top three spots in the first release. In the first preseason game, White rushed four times for 10 yards. He was clearly out-played by Jeremiah Johnson, who picked up 28 yards and one touchdown on four carries.
Now White cane seek an opportunity where he will have a chance to pick up carries out of the backfield. The Broncos needed to thin their ranks, and White was the first to go.
