Broncos Vs. Cowboys Score: Denver, Dallas Tied At Three

The Denver Broncos opened up their 2011 preseason with a six and one-half minute drive, but they came up with just a Matt Prater field goal for a shirt-lived 3-0 lead. The first play of the game was a pass by Kyle Orton, but that was quickly knocked down at the line of scrimmage.

It got better from there. Orton completed a 29-yard pass to Eric Decker on a 3rd-and-6 play. He followed it with an eight-yard pass to Knowshon Moreno. Orton went 2-of-6 for 37 yards on the drive. The running backs combined to rush for 40 yards. Moreno had four rushes for 23 yards and Willis McGahee broke off a 12-yard run and had 17 yards on the drive.

Orton attempted to put the ball in the air when he was at the goal line, but Brandon Lloyd was not in position to grab those balls. Prater came up with a 24-yard field goal.

Dallas countered with its own field goal after a nearly five-minute drive. Felix Jones was key on the ground and through the air for 23 yards on the ground and 16 yards on a reception
