The 2011 U.S. Women's Open is just about ready to complete its first round and Stacy Lewis is the lone leader atop the board with a 3-under score. After finishing her first nine holes at even-par, Lewis birdied three of the first six holes on her back nine. She slipped with a bogey on her second-to-last hole, but rebounded with a birdie on the ninth hole.
Amateur Amy Anderson is tied for second with Lizette Salas and Ryann O'Toole at 2-under. Cristie Kerr, who had started the day with the lead at 2-under, is currently even-par. Karen Stupples held the lead at 3-under earlier in the day, but a double bogey on the 12th and three bogeys on three of the last four holes brought her to 1-over.
Paula Creamer is 1-over as well after sinking four bogeys and three birdies. Yani Tseng, also a favorite entering the tournament, is at 2-over after Round 1.
ESPN2's coverage is set to begin at 3 p.m. MT, just as Round 2 gets underway.
