The 2011 MLB All-Star Game Final Vote ends on Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. MT and Colorado Rockies 1B Todd Helton needs our help to get him in. He's sat third-place in voting since it started on Sunday, behind only Phillies outfielder Shane Victorino and Dodgers outfielder Andre Ethier. Victorino has Shaq in his corner, urging fans to vote for the Flying Hawaiian, as well as the normal Philly fanatics.
↵No one wants to play the pity card for the Colorado Rockies, but the team could use some good news right about now after this week of (sort of) hell. Carlos Gonzalez went down with injury on Sunday, All-Star reserve Troy Tulowitzki followed on Monday and his status for the rest of the week and the All-Star Game is still in doubt and Aaron Cook is far from the All-Star he was in 2008.
↵So, when the Rockies are just about wrapping up their Thursday afternoon game with the Braves, hearing that a late surge by Todd Helton in the voting gave him the spot would be much welcomed.
