Before the 2011 U.S. Women's Open begins in Colorado Springs' Broadmoor East Golf Course on Thursday, more practice rounds (full schedule PDF) continue on Wednesday, as well as other events. Yani Tseng is set to tee off at 8:48 a.m. MT with Candie Kung and Mika Miyazato. Just 12 minutes later, Michelle Wie will take the course as part of a foursome. Will tomorrow begin the road to her first major win on the LPGA? She is paired with Mariel Galdiano, a native of Hawai'i and the field's youngest player in the field.
And there's still time to get to the Broadmoor before Annika Sorenstam takes to the practice range (next to the fifth tee) with Galdiano to host a techniques event. Sorenstam will explain them while Galdiano demonstrates them. There will also be autograph sessions with Brittany Lincicome (11:30 a.m. MT), Natalie Gulbis (1 p.m.) and Sorenstam (2:30 p.m.).
The 2011 U.S. Women's Open begins on Thursday at 7 a.m. MT.
