The Denver Broncos and former Baltimore Ravens running back Willis McGahee agreed to a three-year contract, according to ProFootballTalk. The deal is reportedly worth $7.5 million with $3 million of it guaranteed.
McGahee was told on Monday that he would be released from the Ravens and he instantly came up as a possible target for the Broncos. By the middle of the week it was clear that both sides were interested in a deal. When top running back DeAngelo Williams re-upped with the Carolina Panthers for five years and $21 million guaranteed, it looked all but certain that the Broncos and McGahee would work something out.
Now McGahee will be reunited with running back coach Eric Studesville, who was in Buffalo during the start of McGahee's career. He will be used in conjunction with Knowshon Moreno, who is looking to still be the feature back. However, McGahee appears to be a ready force in the red zone.
