On Tuesday night, Los Angeles Dodgers reliever Kenley Jansen came in to pitch the top of the ninth against the Colorado Rockies. He did it marvelously by using just seven pitches. But when he left the mound, Jansen let the staff know that he experienced a skipped heartbeat.
↵He wound up going to a local Los Angeles hospital that night and spent all of Wednesday and Thursday there to undergo tests. He was released Friday morning, but was placed on the 15-day disabled list a few hours later with cardiac arrhythmia.
↵All the best to Jansen on this just being a minor blip on the way to a successful major league career.
