2011 NIT Tip-Off Features Colorado State Rams

The last time we saw the Colorado State Rams out on the hardwood was in the opening round of the 2011 NIT in March. Unfortunately, the No. 3 Rams were upset by the No. 6 Fairfield Stags. Come this November, the Rams will be back at it when they partake in the 2011 NIT Season Tip-Off.

The Rams are the No. 7 seed in the 16-team tournament and will play in the No. 3 Stanford-hosted regional in Palo Alto, Ca. The opening round game comes against the SMU Mustangs. The Cardinal plays Fresno State. The Syracuse Orange and the Oklahoma St. Cowboys are the top two teams, respectively, in this tournament.

Here is a complete rundown of the opening round (complete bracket), which runs Nov. 14-16:

North Region
No. 1 Syracuse vs. Manhattan
Albany vs. Brown

East Region
No. 4 Virginia Tech vs. Monmouth
No. 5 George Mason vs. FIU

West Region
No. 3 Stanford vs. Fresno State
No. 7 Colorado State vs. SMU

Midwest Region
No. 2 Oklahoma State vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff
