NCAA Baseball Regionals Scores 2011: Dallas Baptist Defeats Oklahoma, 3-2, In 10 Innings

The 2011 NCAA Baseball Regionals have begun and in the Fort Worth regional, the No. 3 Dallas Baptist Patriots needed 10 innings to down the No. 2 Oklahoma Sooners. They advanced to the winners' bracket of the regional and will play the winner of TCU-Oral Roberts.

Dallas Baptist's Brandon Williamson threw nine innings and allowed two runs on seven hits. He walked two and struck out seven. He picked up the win while Chris Haney struck out two and recorded the save. Haney had entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the top of the 10th inning and was out at second on a fielder's choice hit into by Tyler Robbins. Robbins advanced to third on a Landon Anderson single and then scored the go-ahead on a Jason Krizan single to short.

Austin Elkins had an RBI single in the top of the ninth to tie the game at two. Jason Krizan doubled in the first inning for the Patriots' first run of the game.

Oklahoma's Michael Rocha started and threw 7.1 innings and allowed just one run. Garrett Buechele had a sacrifice fly in the fifth and Tyler Ogle an RBI single in the seventh inning. Oklahoma, though, needs a second loss to be eliminated. They will play the loser of TCU-Oral Roberts.
