The North Carolina Tar Heels and the Vanderbilt Commodores each face elimination in the 2011 College World Series when they take the field Wednesday night at TD Ameritrade Park. This will be a rematch of the first CWS game this year, which Vanderbilt took, 7-3, for the Tar Heels.

In the first game, Vandy got to Tar Heels starter and Rockies draft pick Patrick Johnson for five runs. This time Greg Holt will start for the Tar Heels, just his second of the season.

Vanderbilt played Florida in its second game on Monday and went down, 3-1, in the sixth inning before a rain delay forced the game to resume on Tuesday. The delay didn't help, as Florida maintained that lead and won. Taylor Hill will start for the Commodores.

Whoever wins will need to beat Florida twice to advance to the championship series since the Gators have not yet lost in this CWS.
