College World Series 2011 Score Update: Cal, Virginia Locked In Pitchers' Duel

Sunday's College World Series action kicked off with a game between the Virginia Cavaliers and the Cal Golden Bears and it's been a pitcher's duel through five innings so far. Or maybe the hitters are just off their game this afternoon. The score is tied at zero.

Virginia LHP Danny Hultzen, the No. 2 overall pick in the MLB Draft, has yielded just two hits in five inning so far. He's struck out six and walked three. Batting fifth as well, Hultzen has drawn two walks in his two plate appearances.

California's starter, Erik Johnson, completed just three innings. He also gave up just two hits, but he did walk five batters. Logan Scott is now on the mound for Cal. Virginia's John Barr has two hits off Cal Pitchers today.

The winner of this game faces the victor of Sunday night's game between South Carolina and Texas A&M.
