2011 NHL Playoffs: Boston Bruins Head To Stanley Cup Finals With 1-0 Victory Over Tampa Bay Lightning

The Boston Bruins are heading to the 2011 Stanley Cup Finals following their 1-0 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning on Friday night. This game was in a scoreless tie until Nathan Horton put one past Dwayne Roloson at 12:27 in the third period. Interestingly, there were no penalties in this game.

Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos had a bit of a scary moment in the second period when a puck hit him in the face. After he fell to the ice, Stamkos was able to get up on his own power, skate off the ice and head into the locker room for treatment. He returned to the game a few minutes later. Check out the video here.

The Bruins return to the Stanley Cup Finals for the first time since 1990, but last won it all in 1972. Their opponent, the Vancouver Canucks, hope their third time will deliver them that elusive championship.
