Once seemingly trade partners with the New Jersey nets during the Carmelo Anthony trade saga, the Denver Nuggets and the Detroit Pistons take the court inside the Pepsi Center tonight. In the end, the Pistons were left out of the 'Melo trade and are still trying to find ways to win.
The Pistons enter this game on a two-game losing streak and losers in seven of their nine games since the All-Star Break. Their most recent loss came on Friday when they dropped a game to the Oklahoma City Thunder, 104-94.
The Nuggets, meanwhile, are looking to make up ground against the Thunder, currently fourth in the standings with the Nuggets fifth. Denver defeated the Suns on Thursday night, 116--97, in Phoenix to end a 12-game losing there (and George Karl's 16-game losing streak). Defense, while not world-beating, has helped the Nuggets since the All-Star Break. Back in January, the Nuggets took their game in Detroit, 109-100.
Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m. MT, and if you can't be at the game check in on your Nuggets on Altitude.
