The Colorado Buffaloes will look to even their Big 12 record to 5-5 against the No. 22 Texas A&M Aggies. The Buffaloes are 1-5 in their last six games, losing most recently to the No. 15 Missouri Tigers on Saturday, 89-73. That one win came last week against the Iowa St. Cyclones, the last-place team in the conference. Prior to their Jan. 18 game against the Nebraska Cornhuskers, the Buffs were 14-4 and ranked No. 32. Right now, they are fighting for a spot in March Madness.
Sophomore guard Alec Burks leads the team with 19.8 points and scored 21 points in Saturday's loss. Senior Cory Higgins is second on the team in scoring with 16.1 points.
Texas A&M, meanwhile, is on a three-game losing streak and losers in four of their last five, but still ranked in the Top 25. Those losses have come against Nebraska, the No. 3 Texas Longhorns and, most recently on Saturday, the Baylor Bears. The latter contest was lost in overtime, 76-74. The Buffs will need to stop Khris Middleton who is averaging 15.1 points and 5.0 rebounds this season.
