Nuggets Vs. Warriors Preview: The Nuggets Head West, Will Melo Stay Out There?

Amid rampant trade rumors that Carmelo Anthony's latest suitor is the Los Angeles Lakers, the Denver Nuggets travel to Northern California to face the Golden State Warriors in a quick one game West Coast road trip before returning home tomorrow night.

Anthony, who is at the center of all the trade talk, is coming off a 50-point night in a loss to the Houston Rockets. Those 50 points tied a Melo career high.

The key to the game tonight might be Chauncey Buillups' knee. Billups left Monday's game early with a strained in his knee. An MRI showed no damage and Billups is listed as day-to-day. He will travel with the team to Oakland tonight.

Of late the Nuggets have owned the Warriors, winning seven straight. The last win in the series was a 106-89 victory in Oakland in a game that saw Melo pour in 37 while Billups watched from the sideline with an injury.

Golden State is led by prolific scorers Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry. The two combine for an average of 44.2 points per game.

The Nuggets rank first in the league in points a game while Golden State is eighth, so expect a high scoring affair tonight when the game tips at 8:30 p.m.
