NCAA Basketball Rankings: Ohio State Remains No. 1; San Diego State, BYU Represent Mountain West

The Ohio St. Buckeyes remained the unanimous No. 1 college basketball team in the nation, according to the latest AP Top 25 poll results. The Buckeyes are 24-0, the only undefeated team in the nation, after defeating the Michigan Wolverines and the Minnesota Golden Gophers last week.

The rest of the top five stay unchanged with the Kansas Jayhawks, the Texas Longhorns, the Pittsburgh Panthers and the Duke Blue Devils taking those spots. The San Diego St. Aztecs and the BYU Cougars each moved up a spot to No. 6 and No. 7, respectively. The Villanova Wildcats moved from No. 12 to No. 9, while the Connecticut Huskies dropped from No. 6 to No. 10.

Two new teams to enter the rankings were the Florida Gators at No. 17 and the Temple Owls at No. 24.

The UNLV Runnin' Rebels and the Colorado St. Rams both received votes for the poll. UNLV (17-6) received five votes while the Rams (16-7) kept the same number of votes they had last week: two.
