Following a blockbuster 12 player trade involving Denver Nuggets starters Carmelo Anthony and Chauncey Billups, tonight's game against the Memphis Grizzlies should be an interesting one.
It's unknown when Danilo Gallinari, Raymond Felton and Wilson Chandler will arrive in Denver, but it doesn't appear it will be in time for for tonight's 7:00 p.m. MT tip, meaning the Nuggets will have ten guys dress for the game.
It is also unknown what Denver's line-up would look like without the newest Nuggets, but one could guess of a starting five of Ty Lawson, Arron Afflalo, Kenyon Martin, Nene and most likely J.R. Smith.
Either way, it will be interesting to not only see what the Nuggets do in this game, but how the fans react to the new look Nuggets.
It will also be interesting to see if the Nuggets can sustain any of their playoff hopes. Currently the Nuggets reside in seventh place in the Western Conference, a game ahead of the eighth seeded Utah Jazz and tonight's opponent, Memphis.
Memphis will also have a slightly different look tonight as second leading scorer Rudy Gay injured his left shoulder on Tuesday and is out a minimum of four weeks, but possibly done for the season. Without Gay, Memphis will rely heavily on Zach Randolph and Mike Conley to help lead the Grizzlies to their first playoff appearance since the 2005-06 season.
You can watch the new Nuggets at 7:00 p.m. MT on Altitude, or go to the Pepsi Center and share your thoughts on the trade by either clapping or hissing. We'll be listening.
