Colorado needs wins on the road if they are going to have any chance at making the playoffs this season, and after dropping a terrible game to the league-topping Boston Blazers, 11-5, their next chance to get another win on the road – since they can’t seem to win at home to save their lives – is against the latest NLL champion Washington Stealth tonight.
The Mammoth have dropped both games against the Stealth this year, each by a single goal and one in overtime. Colorado did manage to outshoot the Stealth in both games, but terrible goalkeeping by Chris Levis and a lack of ability to put their shots into good positions have plagued the Mammoth all season. The Mammoth have still yet to record a win against the Stealth since they moved to Washington from San Jose.
On Sunday, the Mammoth will come home to HeathOne field at the Pepsi Center to face off the Minnesota Swarm, who will be coming off of a Saturday game against the Rochester Knighthawks.
